Two Guidelines about Lanner Falcon available online

Life Lanner produced two documents, freely available online for everybody.

One is a Guideline about the hacking of young Lanner Falcons. This is considerably more complex than in many other raptor species. Their sensitivity to disturbance, rapid behavioural changes, and the need for precise timing make the process particularly demanding for field operators. Within the LIFE LANNER project, we provide dedicated guidelines to support practitioners and ensure that hacking is carried out safely, effectively, and in line with conservation best practices.

The second is a small field guide about the identificantion of Lanners from Peregrine falcons, two rather similar species that often cause doubts and frustration among field ornithologists.
